Despre John Fitzgerald Kennedy s-au facut multe filme si probabil se vor mai face. Sunt doua mari categorii: cele despre viata sa si cele despre moartea sa. Cateva filme foarte bune s-au facut legat de acest subiect: Executive Action (1973-David Miller), JFK (1991-Oliver Stone) , deasemenea altele doar inspirate. Cele despre viata lui au fost insa foarte sterse, retinand numai aspectele de tabloid - subiectele legate de sotie si amante.
Ce nu s-a facut, cu adevarat, este un film despre viata sa, mai precis asupra ceea ce conteaza din aceasta. Faptul cel mai putin important este acela ca a demarat programul Apollo (http://er.jsc.nasa.gov/seh/ricetalk.htm).

La fel, gestionarea crizei rachetelor, din 1962, nu a fost nici ea cea mai importanta contributie a acestui presedinte. Importante au fost cele din domeniul drepturilor civile si cele din viziunea asupra pacii si relatiilor dintre tari.
Si-a mai permis vreun presedinte american sau de alta natie sa spuna asa ceva, in conditiile in care razboiale mai mari sau mai mici, mai reci sau mai calde ascund o gramada de interese?
