Warren Justice: It was all shit.
Up Close and Personal (1996):  Ziarista Tally Atwater (Michelle Pfeiffer) e foarte mandra de un reportaj cu tema sociala pe care tocmai l-a facut. Warren Justice (Robert Redford), cel care o ajutase sa descopere meseria si sa-si cladeasca cariera nu este deloc incantat.

Tally: No, but it's good.
Warren Justice: It's shit.
Tally: It was what?
Warren Justice: It was all shit. Why she was in the hospital? Why couldn't she get her kids back? 
Did you listen to one word that woman was saying? Or were you too busy worrying about impressing the viewers? Who the hell is this? What the hell happened to you? Where's Tally Atwater?
Tally: You tell me. You invented her!
Warren Justice: Well, I did one lousy job!

Warren Justice:  Before they trust you they've to... know you're listening to them!

Problema e mult mai generala. Ii asculti pe ceilalti? Ii intrebi? Sau presupui ca esti prea maret in propria intuitie ca sa faci asta? Presupui doar si intr-un fel sau altul le poti influenta soarta.
In cazul jurnalistilor este destul de rau: ei au libertatea unei voci publice la care restul nu au acces. Daca insa nu sunt in stare si sa asculte, vocea lor se pierde in van, e inutila.
